He was not a famous actor from start. his first main actor was when he was 35 years old in 'You are my sunshine'. and you know it was more late than others. 

He was stage actor before film actor. in korea, stage actors earns so few money. so sometimes there are actors like him to change his acting area. Now he is on of best actors in korea. and fur the more, he is successful musical actor too. when he acted in 'Man of la mancha', that was always sold out. 

He was very famous as a good speech in award. He said in 2005. it is all speech of him. 

'So wonderful award like this comes to me. I said in just my mind, but i didn't express, Thank you so much my father in heaven. I always introduce myself 'just tiny' actor. what only I did is just eating food in front of me, made by so many staff. I am so sorry about all spotlights to me. I think i deserve just few toes in this trophy. and Thanks to colleague 'Jeon doyeon' who helps me and makes me happy. (seeing her) That was miracle to work with you, thank you. and thanks to my family, my little brother, and my lovely nephew. most of all, i want to dedicate this award to my wife, my sunshine who works hard in distance.
