Plot

After dropped high school, 'Oh taesik' used to fight any thugs in his area. when he was drunken, he became like a crazy dog. Because he wasn't afraid blood, knife, and how many enemies he had to fight. one day, he fought with some guy. and by accident some guy was dead.  He was arrested violation and went to jail.

when he was in jail, some guy's mother, 'Dukja', came to see him. she visited every week, and became only one he can trust. one day she gave to him one empty note. in that note, He wrote what he want to do when he goes out jail. Like going to spa, eating walnut bread, and erasing his tatoo. as well as his wish, he found what she wrote three promise, not drink, not fight, and not dry.

When he got a parole, he goes to her. she treats him like his own son. she ordered to him call her mother. her daughter doesn't know about him, so she rides him hardly but he doesn't hate her.

When he lives very normal life, gangsters want him as a member. to make him fighter, they plan something.

About this movie. Until 'Man from no where' was released, this movie was best action movie. so when 'Man from nowhere' released, people compared 'Taesik' in 'sunflower' and 'Taesik' in 'Man from no where'. even more they have some name. but now 'man from no where' became best action movie.

About Samgyupsal. when first day of 'Taesik' came out jail, he and his mother and her daughter eat some thing meat. it is called 'Samgyupsal'. it is part of pork belly and one of best korean favorite. in middle of table, they set a grill ( it is movable grill) and grill in table and eat directly. that can eat only pork but there is another way to eat. making flat vegetable like lettuce like a bag and put pork, and some other vegetable like garlic too. and eat that bag. we called it 'Ssam'. it can be one of 'You have to eat in korea'.
