Plot

In 500 years ago Josun, 'Manpasikjuk' which is a pipe and gives incredible power to who play that was taken by monsters. that makes so many problem. so three shaman asked to 'Hwadam' and 'Cheongwan daesa'. they argued about who are gonna take care of that pipe. and finally that was divided with two pieces. and student of 'Cheongwan daesa', 'Jeon woochi', made some problem that deceived the king. so three shaman and 'Hwadam' went to 'Cheongwandaesa', but he was already killed. they suspected 'Jeon woochi', so they sealed him on painting. but before he sealed, he took one piece of pipe from 'Hwadam'.

2009, Seoul
Sealed monsters come out, and makes world problem again. so three shaman are looking for 'Hwadam', no one doesn't know about him. so they decide to release 'Jeonwoochi' to catch monsters as a last choice. they deal if he catch all monsters, they will release totally from the seal. so he takes that.

About background 1. About 'Jeonwoochi'. there is a old tale in korea, 'Jeon woochi jeon'. 'Jeon woochi' was a real person. he was a famous thief who stole from the rich, and gave to the poor. but when some one wrote about him as a novel, he described as a 'Dosa'.(more detail, in Josun, 'Dosa' meant kind of magician. 'Dosa' can do a magic with spell(we called 'Dosul') or 'Boojuk'. in this movie, 'Jeon woochi' used 'Boojuk'.)

About background 2. About 'Hwadam'. He was a real person too. his full name is 'Hwadam Seo kyeongduk'. 'Hwadam' is a kind of nick name of him. in old novel 'Jeon woochi', when 'Jeon woochi' made a problem to Josun dynasty, 'Hwadam' came out from mountain and won from 'Dosul' battle with 'Jeonwoochi'. so 'Jeonwoochi' followed him as a mentor, and followed him into the mountain. but in real 'Hwadam seo kyeongduk' was famous intelligent. but he didn't take civil servant in josun, he just studied in mountain. and he was famous for 'Hwangjinyi'. 'Hwangjinyi' was one of famous female poet and Gisang(kind of Keisei). all men falled in love with her, but she only loved 'Hwadam'. but he didn't accept her love.
