1) Fairy tale about tiger
There is a fairy tale about tiger in korea. The name of it is 'The sun, and the moon'.
One day, a mother went to a market to sell ricecakes while she left a son and a daughter alone in home. when coming back home through a mountain at night, she came across a tiger. In korea, tiger used to be regarded as God of mountain, so they can speak. The tiger was hungry, so he asked some food. Frightened mother gave him a ricecake, and kept going. But After eating all ricecakes, he came back and ate her. He felt still hungry, so he went to her house to eat sibling.
The tiger had some gift to change his voice. But clever son realized he wasn't a mother, and ran away with his young sister. They prayed hard and all of sudden, a rope came down from sky. Watching that, the tiger asked the rope too and could get what he wanted. But what he got was rotten rope, so he fell down from the sky. After that, the son and daughter became Sun and Moon.
