1. Plot

King Yeongjo (Song Kang-Ho) aspires to become a perfect king due to his tarnished background. His mother is from a lower class and a rumor exists that he killed his older brother to become the king. King Yeongjo then has a son at a late age. He appoints the little prince as the Crown Prince (Yoo Ah-In). King Yeongjo has high expectations for the Crown Prince, but the Crown Prince cares more for martial arts and paintings rather than focusing on his studies. Meanwhile, the Crown Prince longs for a benevolent father rather than a strict King. The relationship between the King and Crown Prince becomes shattered.

Sado Seja

Sado Seja is real person who was lived in 18s as a crown price of Josun dynasty. He could have been a king, but he died of starvation in rice container by his father's order. His father had some issues because he was a son of concubine, so he used to fight against of all vassals. He became a king against all the odds and wished to make his son be the legal heir of throne. But at some point, it didn't make it through, his son must have been dead by his prejudice. After years, he realized it was a huge mistake, and give him a name Sado seja. Sa means thinking, Do means sorrow, seja means crown prince. So sado seja means 'Thinking of with great sorrow'.
