May 18 화려한 휴가 Plot May 1980 'Minwoo' is a taxi driver in 'Gwangju'. after his parents passed out, he has taken care of his little brother, 'Jinwoo'. 'Minwoo' falls in love with 'Sinhye' who is a nurse and also member of cathedral which he is in too. He always wants normal life even though he isn't rich. he is satisfied with a little happiness like that. But one day. there is something horrible happened. soldiers armed with sword and gun keeps down innocent citizen, and even worse they kill some of citizen. all citizen in Gwangju are in suppression. to gain back their freedom, they protest. retired soldier 'Heungsoo' made rebel army, and fight against korean army.
